The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated yesterday in its daily publication, “Shipping position” made available to reporters that, fourteen ships full with foods, petroleum products and other goods have arrived Lagos ports, waiting to berth.
It was indicated in the publication that five of the ships contained petrol and five also contained bulk rice. The document noted that four others waiting to berth were laden with containers, fresh fish, bulk clinker and bulk fertiliser.
It further explained that 31 other ships were expected at the ports from Feb. 18 to March 8, up from 30 ships expected on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The document indicated that 11 of the expected ships would sail in with containers, while 20 others would arrive with petrol, diesel, bulk rice, tug boat, buckwheat, fresh fish, bulk linker, bulk sugar and general cargo.
