My Sister-In-Law is pregnant before me, she breaks her promise

Dear ADELOVE & Fans,

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for four months now. My sister-in-law has known this, and she said that she was not going to try to get pregnant till after me because it would be a lot of work on my mom with my other SIL being 5 months pregnant with her third. Then I found out a few days ago that she was 2 months pregnant! what should I do? I don’t want to cause any problems with her but is it right for her to get pregnant before me as she promised me earlier. Now she has broke the promise. Please what do I do?

  1. I’m sorry – you mean you don’t think that it was right for her to get pregnant before you, when she knew you were trying? What does one thing have to do with the other? You are 2 different INDIVIDUALS, and both of you have the right to get pregnant whenever you wish to. Your life is none of her business and vice versa – just as none of it has anything to do with your mother either! I really don’t get this! This is YOUR baby, not your mom’s. It is YOUR responsability, not your mom’s. I bet she will LOVE to have as many grandkids as you all can give her! She gets the fun part – the day to day thing is for YOU to deal with. Same goes for your brother and your sis-in-law. This is not a competition, don’t make such a special thing turn into a problem when it doesn’t have to be one..

  2. What does your mother have to do with it? Free childcare? If that’s the only reason, there ARE daycares out there. Your SIL said she wouldn’t TRY. She didn’t say she would prevent. Babies sometimes happen. How dare you say it wasn’t “right” of her to get pregnant before you? Seriously? You might need to do a little growing up before you put another child on this earth.

  3. it took a good 6 months of trying for my wife to get pregnant with our first and this one. you shouldn’t expect someone to not want to be pregnant. waiting until one is pregnant for another to start trying is just silly. would you really not even want a baby now just because she’s pregnant first? goodness! Abeggiii
