2 Traders Drugged, Lose Car To Impostor In Delta

It was gathered that two victims of car theft, Frank Nwaki and Kenneth Monye, are lying critically ill in an undisclosed hospital after an unidentified impostor allegedly drugged them in a hotel before making away with their car in Boji-Boji Owa, Delta State, at the weekend.

Owner of the stolen Gulf 4 Voltwagen car and father of one of the victims, Mr. Moses Nwaki, told our correspondent that the car was parked at College Junction, Asaba awaiting a buyer.

He disclosed that a man who appeared to be a Naval Officer came to the victims and indicated his interest to purchase the car. After the business chat, the man requested Frank and Kenneth to take him to a nearby hotel where he could pass the night, adding that they took him to a hotel along the Lagos-Asaba Road.

Nwaki, who averred that what happened after has remained a mystery to him, said that they waited for Frank and Kenneth as well as the car until around 10pm.

As the duo and the stolen car did not appear, they decided to go to the hotel to confirm what was happening. On getting there, the hotel management admitted that the two boys and the unidentified man lodged in a room in the hotel but claimed that they were yet to check out, Nwaki narrated
