Traditional Ruler Killed In Wase, Plateau State

It was gathered that one Isiaka Adamu, a traditional leader and Galadima of Saluwe in Wase local government area of Plateau State has been found dead after his assailants shot him and cut off his limbs.

The deceased, 62, who is also a security guard working at the Wase local government secretariat, was suspected to have been macheted to death by Tarok thugs.

Plateau State Youth Council (PSYC) chairman for Wase, Yusuf Mohammed Wase said the deceased had gone to his farm early in the morning close to the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He was later found dead by neighbouring farmers.

Mohammed lamented: “Last Sunday, over 300 cattle were allegedly stolen around the same axis by Tarok ouths, and today the Galadima has been killed.”

“We are becoming impatient with the state government and the STF. These people walk for almost six kilometres just to come and attack us yet we are told not to carry arms to defend ourselves.”

He added that the incident had been reported to the STF in Wase.

“Right now we are on our way to have a meeting with the captain in charge of Ford Operation Base (FOB) Wase,” he said
