Court stops NDLEA, Police, others from arresting, extraditing Kashamu

It was gathered that a Federal High court in Lagos has restrained the Nigeria Police, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the State Security Service (SSS), and the Nigerian Customs Service from arresting and extraditing to the United States senator-elect of Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu.

Delivering his judgement today, Justice Okon Abang said the court did not restrict the police or NDLEA from its investigations or possible arrest and extradition of Kashamu but that must be done within the law.

It would be recalled that the same court sent NDLEA packing from Kashamu’s residence in Lekki, Lagos state after they stormed his home on Saturday 23 May with intentions to arrest and extradite him.
