A 55- year-old woman, Florence Aladenoye, has been bitten to death by a dog in Idanre, in the Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that immediately the dog attacked her, the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, where she later died.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Wole Ogodo, confirmed the incident, adding that after the dog attacked the woman, she was taken to five different hospitals before she died at the FMC.
Ogodo said the owner of the dog, Mr. Olofingbasote Afolabi, had been arrested and was being detained at the State Department of Criminal Investigation.
The PRO said, “The matter was reported to Afolabi, the owner for the dog, but he did not take any action to treat the victim. So the victim was taken to five different hospitals before she died at the FMC.”
