Former England national team captain David Beckham was yesterday, Tuesday, September 1 honoured with the Legend of Football Award at the 20th Anniversary HMV Football Extravaganza.
The Manchester United and Real Madrid great, was announced as the winner by Football Extravaganza Committee members and was on hand to pick up his award.
The event which was held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London was attended by a slew of high profile names like Ryan Giggs, Jamie Carragher, Sol Campbell, Glenn Hoddle, Alan Pardew, Sam Allardyce and Sean Dyche.
The 2015 event held in celebration of 20 years of football combining with fundraising.
About £7million was raised for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins which enables them to provide tens of thousands of music therapy sessions for some of the UK’s most isolated and vulnerable people.
Beckham had a fantastic career spanning 20 years, winning 17 major trophies during his days at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
