Chief Clark quits politics, hails Buhari’s anti-corruption war

Chief Edwin Clark has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari’s on-going anti-corruption fight saying that former President Goodluck Jonathan lacked the political will to fight corruption during his reign.

The elder statesman also announced his retirement from active politics and quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said he was not going to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Clark spoke while playing host to the Think Nigeria First Initiative group, who paid him a courtesy visit at his Asokoro Residence in Abuja.

He however said that despite announcing his retirement from active politics, he will not stop speaking out against any form of injustice anywhere in the country.

He said President Jonathan meant well for Nigeria but lacked will power to tackle corrupt politicians in the country.
