BREAKING: Senate defers Amaechi’s screening Again, cancels plenary

Only two of them were screened Tuesday, Adebayo Shittu and Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, a member of the House of Representatives. The screening of Professor Claudius Daramola from Ondo State, was postponed.

Sixteen of the 36 ministerial nominees are still waiting to be heard by the Senate, as the Senate spokesman, Dino Melaye said earlier today that the screening would stretch till Wednesday next week.

Nigerians waiting to watch how the screening of Amaechi will play out, will now need to wait till Thursday this week and hope he is eventually screened.

  1. It is only a fool that will not know what these ‘super men’ are up to! Drop charges against Saraki and Amaechi will be confirmed, simple! Nigeria has an APC head and PDP Neck-multi colour demoncrazy!!

  2. The charges against Saraki should not be dropped if that is why he keeps postponing Amaechi’s confirmation. That act will continue to expose him. It will show clearly that Saraki is the one pulling the progress of this nation back. Time will tell.

  3. Road block against the treasure looter, but this man had not yet be invited by EFCC how come? May be because he is under the umbrella of APC, which means dog can not bite it master Abi?

  4. Orubebe was rejected three times in the senate screening with more than 20 petitions against him, yet he was made a minister. Amachi having been nominated must be a minister. This is nigerian system of government. Sycophants and selfish minded people

  5. Sure you are very correct. If they like let them delay the screening of Amechi till next year. My advice to the authority in power is that criminal charges against Senate President should not be dropped. The whole world is watching Nigeria. After 21 days of nomination, Amechi will automatically become Minster. Good bless Nigeria.
