Lol….Church Cancels Couple’s Wedding Becos Groom Refused To Remove Designer Shoes

The overseer of a church refused to join a couple in matrimony on their wedding day over the weekend because the groom refused to pull off his Italian designer shoes.

It was gathered that the authority of the fast growing miracle church in Benin City, Edo State capital ordered the groom to pull off his shoes as in their rules before entering the church, but he declined despite the pleas from his bride.

The groom whose identity was withheld claimed he bought the shoes for N50,000 for the special wedding ceremony.

News reported that guests who were seated under the canopies for reception at the same venue were lavishly entertained by hired caterers as the confusion raged between the church’s overseer and the couple.

The new turn of events forced hot tears to flow down freely on the cheeks of the beautiful bride who refused to be consoled.

The groom subsequently followed suit as he allowed tears flow down his cheeks as well and the day which was supposed to be filled with joy turned awful and ruined.

Reacting to the incident, a senior pastor in the church who preferred anonymity said: “It is quite unfortunate that the groom is adamant.

“We expected that the bride who is our member must have educated him enough.
It is not new among our members.

Politicians, business moguls who often visit comply with our ways of worship and I must say that what we do here is divine and biblical.”

  2. The bride should have educated the groom on the doctrine of her shrine/church before the D-day.
If the groom’s faith is against the removal of the shoes whether they are designers or aba made, and the pastor can’t bend his rules, then it’s better that the wedding remain canceled.

  7. No proper cancelling..The lady a member of the Church failed in her responsibility to inform her partner before the day. Sorry

  8. If the bride have eyes she would understand by now, that she has made a wrong choice of husband. And that the marriage is not made to last. As to the Groom pride comes before destruction.
