It was reported that, two members of a family have been reported killed by Fulani herdsmen, 19 others declared missing, with seven houses and several motorcycles burnt in Abbi community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Enugu State.

It was gathered that the herdsmen, numbering over 30, wounded several villagers when they invaded the community in the wee hours of Thursday, attacking the villagers with machetes before fleeing into the bush.
A senior officer at the Police Area Command, Nsukka, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the story, describing the attack on Abbi community as pathetic and sorrowful as two biological relations were killed and several others wounded. Meanwhile, a team of anti-riot policemen has been drafted to the community to maintain peace.
