A ritualists’ den in Iyana-Ilogbo has been uncovered by the Ogun State Police Command in Sango-Ota area of the state. The officers subsequently arrested two suspects identified as Babatunde Taofeek and Hammed Hassan. It was gathered that policemen attached to Sango Police State, and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad team stormed the building, acting on a tip off from a member of the community, and arrested the two suspects.

The ritualists den was located within an abandoned Ayokunnu filling station, about 20 metres from the popular Iyana Ilogbo bus stop, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

It was reported  that inside the den were a decomposing body of a male victim, clothes, shoes, wigs, matchetes, and bags. A resident hinted newsmen that two victims in the custody of the ritualists escaped from the building and an attempt by them (ritualists) to recapture them led to the discovery of the den.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident said the suspect will soon be charged to court.

    • Not that she’s despicable alone, she must be an imbecile to have utter such senseless statement. That’s y Igbo cannot become our president in this country, God forbid.

  2. Why do we tribalised simple and straight forward issues like rituals and ritualistic? It’s not necessary! Evils are perpetrated by human beings introspective of tribe or race or religion or creed! Let’s condemn the evil acts! Thank God , they’ve been caught! Let’s hope they’ll not buy their freedom with the evil money!

  3. When you point one finger at another, the remaining fingers are pointing at you… what will you say about the cleansing work that was done all through Anambra and some parts of Imo and Ebonyi and even Abia by Bakassi boys? I served in Anambra and I know what Onitsha boys are doing… just leave that thing.
