This distasteful photo of doctors using light from mobile phones to perform surgery -has been seriously criticized. Who is to blame for the embarrassing act, the doctors who are trying to save lives or the government who is meant to provide light? . Some have speculated that this happened in Nigeria. 1. I don’t think all these people performing the operation would just do it for fun, I want to believe it is plain ingenuity and improvisation, maybe power went off in the middle of the operation and they had to quickly use IED (Improvised Electricity Devise)…..it is the life that was saved with those mobile phones that can SHED LIGHT on this picture and the story it tells. Let us look at the brighter and ‘positive’ side of life.

Instead of blaming the government for poor power supply, they would rather do what they could to save a life………..life must go on!!!! well done doctors.

  2. I dont believe d story. Is it d fone torches dats so bright. D theatre is well lit, at times doctors need pen torches to really examine some cases for instance, ears and eyes. I guess its one of such cases. And even if its true, which i very much doubt, LIFE first

  3. People, life saving is a serious business. If mobile phones can help accomplish the task we use it, nothing should stand in the way of surgeons working to save a life

  4. if they use phone light, or even candle to save life, what is wrong with that. and as ybello said, the room is well bright. U do not just post any thing just to blame government. WHAT IS YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE GROWTH OF NIGERIA (take a moment and ask ur self this question).
