Oluremi gave the assurance while contributing to a debate‎ on a bill seeking to make “provisions for freedom from hunger and the right to adequate food of acceptance quality” by Senator Theodore Orji from Abia central.

‎She said, “I was once in the government house for eight years. I want to commend the presenter of this bill, Governor Orji. And I want to commend all the senators and former governors that have spoken,” she said.

“Looking at this bill in this time in our country, these are the best of times and the worst of times. And we see that the government we have now has been there for only 11 months.

“‎This country is going through a lot of poverty. The past administration led us to where we are. This present administration has placed priority on agriculture. And it is going to take time, and it is going to take a lot of input from everyone.

“I support this bill because this present administration, agriculture and food security are on the table for us. We are promising Nigerians that this administration under President Buhari‎ is ready to hit the ground running and put food on the table for us.”‎
