The chairman of the transition committee set up by AMAC chairman-elect Abdullahi Adamu Candido, Alhaji Yakubu Adamu, has said that the committee is not out to investigate or probe anybody, but to seek vital information to enhance smooth take off of incoming administration.
Yakubu who made this known during the committee’s visit to the council’s Local Education Authority said most area council personnel are jittery on receiving them, because they are probably ignorant of their mission.
According to him, the committee is not out to investigate or to probe anybody in any situation. “Always you can see some certain jittery because they don’t know the actual things we want until we voice out.”
Adamu said the committee however expects the cooperation of the education authority in accomplishing their mission, “we are here to make sure we get the necessary information; we are hoping that in the next few days we are done with them.”
Earlier the Executive Secretary of the Local Education Authority (LEA) Mrs Grace Adayilo commended Abdullahi Adamu Candido for setting up a transition committee saying it is a right step to ensuring a good administration.
Adayilo said it takes a visionary leader to set up a committee with people of proven integrity while she added that she is ready to assist them with all the information they would require.
“This is a vision and a work of wisdom so I thank God for this wisdom that is been embedded in the incoming chairman to really see what has been transpired and see how to improve on it.
“We will give them the detail, accurate information,” she said adding that the information would be delivered in a short time.
She expresses optimism that the incoming administration would improve on the achievements of past council chairmen.
“There is no system without a challenge. We have financial challenges; it may not be any person’s fault. The overhead cost we are not entitled to it but we have been denied.
