The ex-Commissioner for finance in the state between 2010 and 2014, said if the state’s resources were properly managed, the state wouldn’t be in the present economic mess.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Kolawole noted that despite the economic downturn in the country, Ekiti State could still afford to pay three months workers salaries, thereby reducing the economic crisis that has crippled the state.

Kolawole said the state could still pay the salaries of workers from money the government had received in form of refunds and palliatives in the last few months, if the administration in the state was sincere.

Specifically, Kolawole challenged Fayose to explain why he was owing local government workers, despite the fact that the local government fund comes directly from the federation account.

  1. Playing the race red card politics would not derail the obvious facts that Fayose unravelled to Nigerians. Attack the positions but not the character. Probably you’re the guy talking to the trees here. You “ mean spirited for taken that route.

  2. So Fayose is not only owing state workers but also diverted LGA funds. Yet this fool keeps ranting thrash. A fool is known by the multitude of words spoken. I kept wait for 2018 when this fool will be removed. Then let us hear the real stories.

  3. Fayose is using Ekiti money to fight PMB. .He is also saving money to run with the boko Sherif come 2019. up Ekiti.

  4. That is on paper. Crooked Fayose would have diverted the money. He is not financially discipline / prudent to save money. He also lack the morals and values to court the striking workers.

  5. I am very surprised that Governor Fayose has not blamed PMB for his inability to pay the Ekiti work force for the past 5months. The Governor and his other colleagues should fear God
