According to reports, the kidnap attempt was foiled by the police and the suspects subsequently arrested.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who visited the community on Monday, July 3, said the police engaged the kidnappers in a gun battle and rescued the wife and children after the husband escaped.

“The kidnappers came in a boat but as they were escaping with their victims the police engaged them in a gun duel for close to four hours and the kidnappers were subdued by the police,” Owoseni said.

  1. Kudos to our police. They’re up to the task of combating crime at ant point in time but for the bad eggs who have corrupted many of them.
