Not only that, but it is believed the 29-year-old has already made contact with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over the possibility of a move to the Bernabeu.

Fabregas previously represented Barcelona before moving to Chelsea 2014, but he is rumoured to be unhappy with his role under new manager Conte.

The Spain international endured a disappointing season last year, alongside the rest of the Chelsea squad, but did show glimpses of a return to form towards of the end of the campaign and for his international side in Euro 2016.

Real are reportedly hesitant over a possible deal for Fabregas as the Champions League winners already have a wealth of options in midfield.

Fabregas still has three years left to run on his current contract with Chelsea and made 49 appearances for the Blues last season, scoring six times and providing nine assists.
