On the day of the attack in 2013, a little boy with explosives strapped to his body entered the school premises while the students were at the assembly ground and when a teacher tried to stop his advance, he detonated the bomb, killing the teacher and some students.

The Service, in a statement signed by one Tony Opuiyo in Abuja, said it also arrested several suspected Boko Haram members and kidnap gangs across the country.

According to the DSS, these arrests are in furtherance of ongoing tactical and counter-terrorism operations to degrade the capabilities of criminal gangs/syndicates in their hide-outs across the federation.

Among the people arrested include one Aikhoje Moses, whose arrest followed threat messages against some members of the Diplomatic Corps in Abuja and Lagos.

Before his arrest, Moses was alleged to have threatened the diplomatic community in Nigeria, particularly the Consulars-General of Switzerland and Denmark and their Embassies in Nigeria, warning them to leave the country.

Similarly, the Service said it arrested one Mukhtar Tijani, a notorious Boko Haram fighter, and three of his accomplices, namely, Isiaku Salihu, Abdullahi Isah and Hindu Isah.

Also, on August 12, this year, Usman Abdullahi, Abdulmumuni Sadio and Ahmad Salihu were arrested while making arrangements to launch attacks on some selected targets in Edo and Kogi states before escaping to join ISIS in Libya.

He also revealed that following the spate of gruesome killings and kidnap incidents in Benue State, the Service, on August 8, arrested one Terfa Jirgba who is alleged to be an active ally and gang member of Terwase Agwaza, a.k.a., Ghana, a notorious kidnapper who runs a kidnapping and criminal network in Benue State.
