The 31-year-old centre-back, who scored a magnificent bicycle kick as the Gunners ran out 2-1 victors at the Emirates, was a major doubt in the lead-up to the side’s trip to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday evening.

Koscielny received a boot to the face in a clash with Saints skipper Jose Fonte while defending a corner and came away with a swollen eye which Arsene Wenger admitted was a worry ahead of their crucial Champions League opener.

‘He will be a little bit of a concern. The eye is already very swollen and it is closed up,’ Wenger stated following the win.

However, with youngster Rob Holding on standby in the days leading up to the Parc des Princes fixture, Koscielny appears fully fit and set to compete for a starting place.

The France international, who captained north London outfit on Saturday, was photographed training alongside his team-mates on Monday morning.
