A 3-1 Premier League defeat away at Watford was to be Jose Mourinho’s third straight defeat after losses to Manchester City and Feyenoord earlier this week.

A rare start for Marcus Rashford saw the young Englishman find the net yet again but it wasn’t enough to deny Watford, who outplayed the Red Devils at Vicarage Road.

Rooney, struggling to find his best position, was again found lying in a deeper midfield role and his poor performance will undoubtedly re-open the debate over his ability to retain a place in the starting XI.

A series of misplaced passes, over-hit crosses and wayward ball control further displayed the 30-year-old’s sever lack of confidence.

Despite his troubles, United fans didn’t hold back as they ordered him to retire from the game…
