Michelle dashed into the room, lobbed on the bed bewailing; Silver and Danielle ran after her,

Danielle: “Stop crying now. What is all these for God’s sake?” she sat by her friend who buried her head in a pillow.

Silver: “He isn’t worth these tears, you know. The right man for you will never treat you this way. ”

They tried to make her stop crying but the more they tried the louder her cry became; Silver was riled, he couldn’t lay hands on who exactly his anger was channeled at, but Dapo had the larger share.

Michelle: “Do I deserve to be disrespected, eh? Why does he treat me like this? Is it a crime to love someone so much?” mucus ran down her nose like one suffering from Rhinorrhea, she sniffed it then continued sobbing.

Danielle was riled too; her piquancy wasn’t just darted at Dapo who had succeeded hundred percent in humiliating her friend but also, her friend who was behaving too naïve.

Danielle: “What’s wrong with you? Stop crying joor! Aren’t you tired of acting all pathetic? The trifling souls you’re crying out your life for are out there enjoying their lives! Make them feel like fools by enjoying yours too! What kind of crazy love is this? The idiots are not even worth it, seff. Did you see the way they laughed at you when you ran out of the restaurant like someone who is just starting to learn the art of madness?” Silver gave her a “take it easy” sign gesticulating with his hand.

Danielle: “No, allow me talk some sense into her, this her own don dey too much. Dapo, Dapo, Dapo everyday. Is he the only man on earth? The guy is busy enjoying himself and you are here crying your eyes out. If you like, attempt suicide again, no be me go follow you go hospital. Mtcheeew!”

Silver: ” Danielle, that was harsh, common.”

Danielle: “Is what she is doing to herself not harsh? Lemme, joor!

Michelle didn’t swallow the truth well, she gawked at Danielle and hissed, Danielle wanted going on with her rants but Silver pleaded with her with his facial expression, she howled and stormed out of the room.

Silver: “But that was rude of you, you know right?”

Michelle sat up holding a pillow close to her bosom wearing a grimace,

Michelle: “What did I do?”Feigning innocence.

Silver: “Your attitude towards Danielle,” he makes a face, “You didn’t have to sound rude. She meant well and you know it!”

Michelle: “Meant well? By telling me thrash? Oh, please! Spare me the bullshit.” She bit her lower lips.

Silver: “Thrash?” he looked at her but she flung her eyes in a different direction.

Michelle:”Yes!” She sighed,

Silver: “She was just stating the obvious, Michelle,” depleted he chimed. He stared at her for some seconds, within the period of gazing she was fondling with her curly fibred wig, he sighed,

Michelle: “What!?” it came out crashing down on him.

Silver: “I, really, don’t understand you anymore,” he stood up.

Michelle: “how?” she groaned.

Silver: “Why are you being rude to us?”

Michelle: “rude?”

Silver: “Yes! See the way you behaved to Danielle ‘cos she told you the truth and now see…”

Michelle: “…Truth? By calling me names?” cut in.

Silver: “She didn’t call you names. Sh…”

Michelle: “eh? So, I’m the one…,” She stuttered then hissed, “See, I have a headache and I prefer to be left alone, please!” she looked away.

Silver: “Are you sending me out?”

Michelle: “I don’t have strength for this,” she gave a rude gaze, “I don’t have the energy for any question and answer session. Or would you prefer me leave the room for you?”

Silver: “Noo! Cool,” he shook his head, looked at her as she cast her eyes down and he made for the door and left with tears in the eyes.

She banged the door and burst into tears; she cried so loud that neighbours’ were alarmed. Obviously, she had gone too far, annoying the two people who could lay their lives for her. Why did she do that? Why would she hurt the people that saved her life,

Michelle: “Michelle, you’re a fool, a gigantic one! Oh God, Dapo is ruining my friendship with people. I curse the day I meet you, Dapo! I curse the day you asked Sandra out, I also curse the day Sandra accepted your proposal.” she cried.

Sending Silver out was the height of it; she was losing it but she couldn’t help it. She was mad at Dapo, and the feeling of rage was consuming her and affecting everyone around her,

Michelle: “I’m sorry, Sly!”, she said to herself then buried her head on the bed.

She had never spoken to Silver in an unruly manner, it was her first and was going to be the last- Silver, was slow to anger. She knew his anger if triggered would birth a gory sight. She took her phone and dialed “Sly-bestie” she placed her phone on loud speaker staring into the screen and praying he picks but he didn’t pick,

Michelle: “Oh, my God! I’m finished!”

She gave him ten missed calls and he still did not pick and the eleventh time she called the phone was switched off. A nauseous feeling clothed her; the tongue felt like it was dipped in a bottle of vinegar.

“Even Sly has abandoned me, I am doomed.” she lamented.

What was she going to do? Was that the end of their friendship?
