Timaya, MI, others set for Awka Glo Campus Storm

Next generation network and biggest corporate promoter of entertainment, Globacom, has announced that the next edition of its music concert, Glo Campus Storm, will be held this Friday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

The company disclosed in a press statement that four musicians have been engaged to provide sublime fun and entertainment to students and other members of the university community at the show.

They are dancehall star, Timaya; rap artiste, Jude Abaga, popularly known as MI; hip-hop star, Runtown; and new sensation, Asterix.

Hilarious comedian, Gordons, whose real name is Godwin Komone, will be the show anchor, with DJ Tops complementing the musicians’ performances with tunes from his juke box.

Globacom added that the “Glo Campus Data Dude” and “Glo Campus Data Diva” contests will also be held during the show at Unizik to select five male and five female students who will have a chance of winning up to N100,000 each.

The 10 students will later take part in a grand finale, which will also see 230 students from other institutions that hosted the concert, competing for a scholarship worth N1 million.

They also stand a chance of becoming Globacom Brand Ambassadors and getting automatic invitations to Globacom-organised events such as the Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concert and Glo Laffta Fest comedy shows.

Globacom urged students who may wish to attend the show at UNIZIK or take part in the “Glo Campus Data Dude” and “Glo Campus Data Diva” competitions to purchase and load N500 Glo Campus Booster Data to qualify for invitation.

Thus far, the 2016 edition of Glo Campus Storm has been held in six institutions, with those who attended the shows describing them as breathtaking.

In each of the events, the venues were filled with thousands of students, lecturers and non-academic staff coming out to savour the rich entertainment experience.
