Antonio Conte: Chelsea made a huge mistake selling Kevin De Bruyne

Antonio Conte has revealed his regret that Chelsea sold Kevin De Bruyne.

The Italian coach is a huge fan of the Belgian, who he will face on Saturday lunchtime when Chelsea travel to the Etihad to take on Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.

De Bruyne was sold by Chelsea to Wolfsburg in 2014 before City brought him back to the Premier League in 2015 for a monumental £55million fee.

And Conte thinks Chelsea made a mistake letting the 25-year-old leave the club.

‘De Bruyne played with Chelsea and is a really great player.

‘It’s a pity he’s playing for the other team. He’s a fantastic player for Manchester City.

‘I wish the best for him after our game.’
