On December 19, the 40th edition of one of the most intriguing annual social events in Nigeria, the Miss Nigeria Pageant will soon be televised across the country. The organizers of the pageant say all is set for what is going to be a splendid night of glamorous display of feminine beauty.
The event which is scheduled to take place in EKO Hotels and Suites Convention Centre will be flooded by celebrities from 5pm when the red carpet commences. The pageant proper begins by 7:30pm. The event will be chaired by the former governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba while the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed will be one of the special guests expected at the event.
Besides the thrilling spectacle of young and intelligent ladies trying to outwit one another in wit and beauty, designers, Adebayo Jones, Kosibah, Lanre da Silva and Eyiola, will entertain guests with a fashion show. Indeed, if the promises of the organisers are anything to go by, there will not be a dull moment whatsoever.
The pageant will be keenly contested by ladies as the winner will get a brand new car, travel opportunities, N3 million cash prize and appointment as one of the country’s ambassadors. Activities of the contest begins from the camp where they will be lectured on etiquette and other physical activities including mentorship and choreography.
