Jose Mourinho has reportedly angered everyone at Manchester United by forcing players and staff members to turn out for training at Old Trafford on Christmas Day.
The Red Devils have struggled for form in all competitions, winning only five of their last 10 matches, but Mourinho’s men grabbed a 1-0 victory at home to Tottenham this weekend.
While United players were delighted in the aftermath of the defeat of Spurs, many were apparently still reeling from the Special One ordering them to arrive at Old Trafford at 4.30pm on December 25th.
Staff members who usually work during the morning training ground session at Carrington must instead report for duty at the stadium on the festive day.
‘Everyone is seriously p***** off. They’ve never heard anything like it – not even under Fergie,’ a source told the Sun.
‘All the staff are used to coming in and sorting training out at Carrington but having it at Old Trafford adds a whole new level of organisation and brings more staff in.
‘Jose’s had a face like thunder at the training ground for most of the season and is clearly not happy with results.
‘Some staff will even have to stay later on to sort out the pitch and stadium for the next day’s home game. He’s effectively cancelled Christmas.’
