Jose Mourinho is sweating on the fitness of Eric Bailly after the Manchester United defender suffered a fresh setback against Crystal Palace.
The Ivory Coast international was making only his second appearance since late October following a knee injury he suffered in the 4-0 rout at the hands of Chelsea.
Bailly, a summer signing from Villarreal, had been impressing as a makeshift right-back against Palace before he succumbed to another knee injury.
‘We don’t know how bad it is at the moment,’ Mourinho told BT Sport after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s late goal ensured a valuable 2-1 victory.
‘It’s not the same knee as the other injury. This one is his left knee so it’s not the same as a previous injury.
‘He has a problem in another dimension but showed amazing character to try and try and try until he reached his limit.’
