EFCC is irresponsible, corrupt organisation, says Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has explained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as unqualified to fight corruption because it is “an irresponsible and corrupt organisation.”

The governor, who applauded the judiciary for standing firm against the “EFCC’s tyranny,” said the way and method the commission had been going about shopping for court orders against Nigerians should concern lovers of the rule of law in the country.

He said this in reaction to the Monday’s Federal High Court, Abuja, judgment ordering the EFCC to release all his properties that were attached based on the order of the court made on July 20 and August 2.

Fayose, who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said, “It is the height of irresponsibility and fraud for the EFCC to have approached Justice Okon Abang for a similar order and concealed the fact that the order obtained from Justice Dimgba elapsed on September 3 and had failed to approach the same court for an extension.

“The EFCC and its corrupt elements fraudulently approached Justice Abang, …and the same EFCC has even moved to the Federal High Court, Akure in search of another order, ostensibly because they have realised that the judge in the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti won’t play ball.”

  1. If sane people are talking of rule of law it can be understood but not a basket mouth who doesn’t even know the meaning. He willfully breaks law and called it rascality. The stupid immunity law you are enjoy now will surely run out and you be under scrutiny of rule of law.

  2. The EFCC led by Ribadu and a PDP govt filed corruption charges against Fayose
The EFCC led by Magu and an APC govt filed corruption charges against Fayose

    Who then is corrupt?

  3. Fayose this, Fayose that, are u saint? Or is your Boss Rotimi Ameshi saint? What of your Oga Buhari is he saint? It seems you forgot some atrocities he commited when he was Federal Commissioner
(position now called Minister) for Petroleum and Natural Resources, 1976 have u ever check yourself before acusing another one “He that is without sin among you , cast a stone at him” and let see if God will not judge you people.

  4. Fayose, it’s because they have to deal with very irresponsible & very corrupt people like you. As for u @ Kas, please tell us one of the atrocities Buhari committed when he was Federal Commissioner otherwise u shut up ur mouth if u don’t have the facts!

  5. @Ed somebody cannot give you a proverb and you still shamelessly ask him for an interpretation! It is because your types would rather prefer to be blind followers than dig into the ugly pasts of your idols when prompted to. You can choose to spend a whole life time hating and disrespecting somebody but that does not delete the facts of his statements.
@Olamilekan and Lawrence, many Nigerians already know so much about Fayose’s ugly pedigree that your relentless rantings against him whenever he boldly confronts the truths (that the likes of you cover up in the name of blind followership, bigotry and shallow reasoning) are also raising questions about your true intentions. Not that others are comfortable with those aspects of Fayose but, for the umpteenth time, put your reasons together whenever this man is hammering and dramatizing on the truths we all know but are chicken-hearted to publicly voice out!
I can assure you that you don’t love Buhari more than most people that tackle his style and approach to governance. You can only chastize the child you love and keep quiet over the one you hate. Most of you that are playing dumb on sensitive national issues can only be said to hate Buhari and Nigeria!
