Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Arsenal will always be the team that believed in him the most.
Fabregas came through the ranks at Barcelona before joining the Gunners’ academy back in 2003 and the midfielder went on to captain the north London club just five years later.
The Spaniard’s return to the Nou Camp, and his subsequent move to Chelsea, were heavily criticised by many at Arsenal but he still speaks very fondly of his time at the club.
‘Arsenal will always be the team that believed in me the most,’ Fabregas told journalist Natacha Tannous.
‘I was a young kid, 16 years old, playing for Barcelona. Arsene Wenger, especially, and Arsenal Football Club, gave me everything.
‘Without them I would not be a World Cup winner, a European Championship winner. And I would not have experienced all of this that I’m doing in my life.
‘I will always forever be grateful.’
