Certificate scandal: Senate to probe Melaye

According to reports, the Senate on Tuesday began investigation into the alleged certificate scandal against Senator Dino Melaye.

An online media had on Monday reported that Melaye did not graduate from Ahamadu Bello University, Zaria, which he presented for his election.

The Senate’s decision was sequel to a Point of Orer raised by Senator Ali Ndume.

Ndume came under Order 14/15 to present the issue to the Senate.

The Deputy Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, directed Melaye to present the document in contention to the Senate.

    They now go about usurping the roles of the police and the executive
    They need to get serious and get down to their role of making people oriented legislation for the nation
    The cases of both Saraki and Malaye are purely criminal cases that fall under the jurisdiction of the police and the law court

    Let Police investigate both of them while they step aside. I make bold to say that in a country of over 170millions people, we have more credible men than these duo who keep disgracing every decent Nigerian with all these criminal behaviours and still result to name callings on more honourable gentlemen.
