According to reports, the Jigawa State Government has received the total sum of N140 billion from the federation account since its inception in May 2015, the state commissioner for finance said on Saturday.
Alhaji Umar Namadi disclosed this in Dutse as part of activities marking the second anniversary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration in the state.
Namadi said the state government has settled about N10 billion liabilities inherited from the last administration.
The commissioner said, “N24 billion was spent on water supply, while N700 million was expended on electrification projects.
“N6 billion was spent on education, Agriculture took N3 billion and N2 billion was spent on health care services during the period under review.

“Due process is strictly followed in all government spending and expenditure for transparency and accountability.”
