Broadcast media executives have converged on Lagos for the 3rd international summit on Digital Broadcasting in Nigeria.
The event organized by the Broadcast Organisations of Nigeria (BON) and BSP Media International had the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed in attendance.
In his address, the minister said a scientific audience measurement will enable the process of broadcast digitization reach its goals in Nigeria.
He, therefore, insisted that broadcasters will benefit more from the new system if the number of viewers is accurate.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of BON, Mr John Momoh who was represented by the Vice President of BON, called on the government to be a strong support for the movement from analog to digital broadcasting by providing impactful policies for the industry.
