Buhari left Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.

Muhammad Bello, minister of federal capital territory; Ibrahim Idris, inspector-general of police; and Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the president; were among those at the Abuja airport to bid him farewell.

Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, had said the president would return to the country after four days.

He had also said the president’s trip to the UK is at the instance of his doctor.

Before leaving Abuja, Buhari received letters of credence from ambassadors of Netherlands, Republic of Botswana and Lebanon to Nigeria, where he stressed the need for sustained financial and capacity building to mitigate the effects of climate change in the country.
