After a 0-0 draw with Algeria on Saturday, Nigeria qualified for the semi-finals of the Africa U-23 Championship. Both teams came into the clash on four points, knowing that a win will automatically send them into the last four.
However, although both teams got close several times, there were no goals at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor in Dakar.
The result means both teams finished on five points each and both qualified for the semis. Samson Siasia’s boys will now take on hosts Senegal on Wednesday for a place in the final.
