Pastor Adeboye charges Ooni of Ife to work for Unity, progress of Yoruba

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has tasked the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, to work for the unity and progress of Yoruba people.

Adeboye gave the charge during his courtesy visit to Oba Ogunwusi in his palace, in Ile-Ife, on Wednesday.

He commended the new Ooni for the maximum development and steps taken in repositioning the entire Yoruba race for greatness and urged him not to relent.

Adeboye said that if there was unity among all Yoruba groups across the country, the lost glory would be restored, “for united we stand and divided we fall”.

In his response, the Ooni commended Pastor Adeboye for his spiritual support and guidance and enjoined other religious leaders to emulate him.

  1. The Ooni of Ife has started well and may prayer for him with respect is that he will finish well in Jesus name. I will urge my father in the Lord to support him in prayers because the office need God and nothing else. Kabiyesi, you will live long in peace and posperity and good health.
