NUPENG chairman reveals who’s behind the fuel scarcity

The Lagos State Zonal Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has revealed that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is responsible for the country’s fuel scarcity.

Mr Tokunbo Korodo was a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday. “The way I’m looking at it, the NNPC is the main cause of the fuel scarcity, other stakeholders are not complementing the efforts of the Federal Government while they claim they don’t have access to fuel.

“The Federal Government promised to make fuel available to them, why are they not giving it to them and sought it out for Nigerians?” he questioned.

Answering a question on why the depots were not loading, the NUPENG Chairman said: “Because they don’t have fuel.

  1. The solutions to end fuel crisis in Nigeria, is allow the president to sell all the refineries. If it is being run by private owners, they will do everything to make sure they are in business. More so, government establishments are never and can never be as serious as private establishments.
