Victor Moses will be available for Nigeria’s friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg this month. The forward, who spent the last season on loan at West Ham from Chelsea, was one of the 26 players invited for the matches by interim coach, Salisu Yusuf.
However, AfricanFootball reports that he has withdrawn from the games, after speaking with a Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) source.
“Victor Moses is definitely out of the games against Mali and Luxembourg,” the source said. “I understand he withdrew due to a knock he suffered while playing for his club.”
Five players have so far withdrawn from the matches. John Mikel Obi and Ahmed Musa have been excused to play in the Joseph Yobo testimonial. CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel is out through injury, while William Troost-Ekong has club engagements.
