Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to stop constant changing of coaches for the Super Eagles as this has affected the team.

The three-time African champions have had four coaches over the last one year alone, and the NFF are yet to decide on a permanent coach ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Onazi said the NFF must give whoever they decide to name as the substantive Super Eagles coach years to build a team, rather than the usual chopping and changing currently being witnessed.

“There have been so many problems with the federation and the Super Eagles and we don’t want to say we are going back to the drawing board,” he said.

“The federation has been changing a lot of coaches and a lot of players and this is not continuity.

“They should give anybody they want the time for him to build the team, so that we can know what we are going for.

“You cannot give someone two matches and expect results, it’s not possible. You have to give the coach years,” he added.
