The tribunal holds that Captain Wada never participated in the primaries of the APC and so lacks the locus standi to challenge the nomination of Mr Bello.

Captain Wada contested in the Kogi State governorship election under the umbrella of the PDP.

Wada had asked the tribunal to declare him winner of the Kogi State governorship election.

He argued that Mr Bello was not qualified to be declared winner and did not have a deputy governor, a situation he claimed disqualified him from vying for the governor’s position.

Mr Bello was a substitute for the late candidate of the APC, Mr Abubakar Audu, who died a day after the governorship election.

  1. Nigeria is really a zoo. So Bello is governing with 64,000 votes against 271,000 votes for Wada. This is buhari-democracy lol.

  2. Faleke has no locus, Wada has no right to question the nomination. Hmmm now the government has finally cowed the judiciary into giving the sort of decisions they want, I hope they are no longer corrupt. By the time this government has succeeded in corrupting all sacred institutions in Nigeria, this country will be worse than an imbecile.

  3. I just wish that the whole Nigeria could be APC so that we could have peace and stop insulting, making fun and hating each other. How about that?
