Fayose has no immunity against our investigations – EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared that the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has no immunity clause against investigation by the commission.

Spokesman of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwajaren made the assertion while reacting to the action of the commission to freeze Fayose’s bank account.

Recall that Fayose had on Monday revealed how he was unable to conduct financial transactions at a Zenith Bank branch in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital because the anti-graft agency had frozen his account.

But confirming the action, Uwajaren said, “It is true that we have frozen Governor Fayose’s account in connection with an ongoing investigation. We will soon release the details of our findings to the public.

“We froze the account because Fayose has no immunity against investigation.”

  1. Who say Fayose has immunity against investigation should educate us please by quoting relevant constitutional sections and subsections. I want to learn

  2. let immunity be totally removed 4rm our constitution no matter who you are let everyone answer to his/her case in the court of law,how can some pple be languishing in detention & many in prison over an offence while some set of pple are walking d street & globe trotting freely in d name of immunity,it is really unfair. that is why politics in nigeria has become a lucrative, juicy & do or die business, common man dey suffer 4 naija. why?

  3. I want to beg EFCC to come to Afao Ekiti and locate fayose residence they will see more money to freeze because he had a place in his compound where he dug and kept money. the mad dog is 419.
