Two hundred and seventy officers and civilian members of the Nigerian Police Force, (NPF) Cooperative, have been rewarded with diverse prizes, including the star prize of N500,000 by Globacom, through the Police Cooperative Closed User Group (CUG) Promo.
Twenty of the subscribers won N500,000 each and seven of them including Rabiu Hussaini, Olasunbo Tokunboh-Ajayi, Sunday Edoka, John Otame, Abiodun Mudasiru, Sikiru Opakunle and Thankgod Esechie were present at the Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, on Monday to pick up their cheques.
However, the duo of John Otame and Abiodun Mudashiru received their wining cheques directly from the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, in the Inspector General’s office.
The remaining 13 officers who won the N500,000 star prize are Umar Bala, Kenneth Enumaje, Dickson Solomon, Ikechukwu james Nwogu, Rasheed Aliu, Toba Ajayi, Alli Bello, Roseline Iriemivbor, Emmanuel Gabriel, Saheed Ganiyu, Rasheed Sanni, Calunun Kemuel and Thomas Saleh were expected to proceed to Globacom’s Abuja office to pick their cheques.
Two hundred and fifty other members of the Police CUG also won different items ranging from deep freezers, 5KVA generators, water dispensers, home theaters to smart phones.
A bursar at the Police Children’s School, Ado Ekiti, Mrs. Olasunbo Tokunboh-Ajayi, who spoke after receiving her N500,000 prize urged other police personnel and civilians in the service of police formations across the country to join the Police CUG, adding that winning the prize is like a dream come true.
