Antoine Griezmann is enjoying the last of his closed season holiday before returning to pre-season training with Atletico Madrid next week.
Griezmann was given more time off from pre-season training by manager Diego Simeone after he reached the final of the European Championship with France.
The striker, while disappointed with France finishing runners-up to Portugal, personally had a successful tournament.
He finished as the competition’s top goalscorer, notching six goals and was included in the team of the tournament.
Interest in the striker intensified during the Euros but he put an end to speculation when he signed a new contract at Atletico in June.
He decided to extend his current deal by a year, which will keep him at the Vicente Calderon until the summer of 2021.
Manchester United were one of clubs to show strong interest but that was never going to materialise into a move, according to the 25-year-old’s agent Eric Olhats.

Olhats insists that while a number of clubs across Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain, wanted to sign his player, Griezmann wanted to stay with Simeone’s side.
‘Antoine extended his contract with pleasure,’ Olhats told France Football. ‘At no point was this club a back-up plan.
‘Teams from abroad did however call on him during the close season. In England, there were several direct expressions of interest, but a lot of clubs are under reconstruction.
‘There were also meetings with Paris Saint-Germain. The project was very attractive, but he’s just become a father, he feels good in Spain and Atletico is, I repeat, a great club that gives him everything he expects and which is managed by a great coach.’
