Buhari, who spoke in Daura, Katsina State, shortly after attending Eid prayers to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, warned that whose who abused public trust would face justice, in addition to returning their stolen assets to the nation’s coffers.

The President expressed gratitude to Nigerians for supporting Federal Government’s policies, programmes and actions aimed at improving security, revamping the economy and combating corruption.

He said: “We should thank God, the reports I’m getting, which is very pleasing, is that we will have a bumper harvest this year. I want Nigerians to realise that what this government inherited after 16 years of PDP government was no savings, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security.

“Nigerians can see what we have done on Boko Haram and what we are doing to resolve the problem in the Niger Delta.

“Before the elections, we identified three major problems confronting our country. The first is security; we need to sufficiently secure our country to manage it well.

“The second is the economy, especially jobs for the youths and fighting corruption, which is continuous.

“For the youths, graduates and non-graduates, who are interested in agriculture, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the CBN, is doing something to provide employment for them.”

  3. Is this man so dumb that it’s too hard for him to realize that Nigerians are too tired of these litanies of excuses coming out from him on daily basis

  4. Gogo why are you so sure were you in Government

  5. Any person who keeps making excuses, keeps complaining and blaming others is nothing but a failure. Buhari is a failure and should do Nigerians and himself a favor by resigning now before it’s too late.

  6. We are tired of excuses, do something Mr President, there is earth tremor in Kwoi, our President can’t even comment. What a Leader. Such can’t happen elsewhere.

People like Segun and Friday should be voted in as President and Vice President and see how they will run this country with the mess that this administration inherited, oh before I forget, Vic to be the Senate President. Critics of these trio should come out and offer their services and let’s see their miracles.

so wah abt the recovered loot

  12. Buhari seems to be an unrealistic leader who doesn’t not know how to project or surface himself to the current problem of this country.
I wish he will do himself a favour by get himself out of that position. Resign

  13. A President lying to the people in open day light? The Railway from Kano to Abuja he opened without awarding any contract, who built it? OBJ left without building or repairing road, but, did the Benin-Ore into Ondo state express which people used to spend two days to travel from Benin to Lagos during Obasanjo era, was it rebuilt by BUHARI? Expressways from Onisha to Owerri, Aba where they built by BUhari? Rail tract renovation from Lagos -Kaduna-Kano, was it Built by Buhari? Investments in Agriculture which recorded the highest in recent History, and Fertilizers were distributed electronically through SMS through out the country that Farmers did not cry for fertilizers at farming seasons for the first time in recent history done by BUHARI? It is shamelessness and a disgrace for a President to speak in the OPEN, I inherited Nothing? So, what have you done in the last 1years plus? Show us? Fighting Corruption? Only enemies. Any of the co-thieves that are in the APC that sponsored his election becomes clean. A man who do not acknowledge the good works of another, is difficult to accomplice anything. I do not know, what the Koran says about a liar? In the Bible at 1 Corinthians 6:9,10. Liars would not inherit paradise? Is there anywhere in the Koran that condemns lying? It happens to be their Holy day celebrations, and it was the best time and hours to abide by the Holy writing, but here a President Lied before the face of all Nigerians. It is a shame.

  14. abi oooooo

  15. A Party Confused (APC).

  16. @Dickson. Well said. He drove off the Foreign investors with his draconian policies. The economy that was triving crumbled. Dollar skyrocketed.
Mr.President we’re not daft. You have the mantle of leadership in your hands.
Stop the blame game. You have 30biilion dollars in foreign reserve. If TSA is not working get economic experts to help you.

  17. My suspicions about the seriousness of this government started when it took the president so long to appoint ministers, meaning this was not even thought out before winning the elections. The truth: APC was not prepared for governance; they only wanted power. At this point we certainly need divine intervention to get us out of this mess. Lord have mercy!

  18. We have all expressed our feelings, and it is all well said what can I say only to add that it is not easy to rule Nigerians.
