It was gathered that the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria has declared three days of fasting for Nigeria in the bid for the country to overcome the economic recession it is facing.
The decision of the CAN leadership was contained in a statement on Tuesday.

The fasting has been scheduled for September 21 to 23.
According to the statement signed by Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, the Special Assistant (Media) to the CAN President, Rev. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, the prayer and fasting will be for the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari and his team.
The statement added: “We call on all Christians nation-wide to seek the face of God for divine intervention as our political leaders are seeking for the panacea to the economic recession and the attendant problems.”
The statement quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14 to back up the call.
The Bible passage states: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Very good
Everything needs prayer
We need 40days sef
Can 3 days do us……
Praise God. Church standing in her role; intercession and not politics. The spirit controls the physica. More collaborated prayer.
It good to pray but for how long do continue to pray without making any effort for the betterment of the country
We one of the most prayerful country in the world!!!yet we are so corrupt that God does not want to hear from us again!!!I hope he answer us one day cha
Mere waste of precious time
Prayers and fasting cannot change anything
They never did, as no nation has ever became great through prayers and fasting, but by empirical activities
Even the bible says that “What you sow is what you reap”
You cannot go about looting the public fund left, right and centres, padding the budget and even donating part of your stolen money to churches and mosques and having the pastors and imams honouring and blessing you for more riches,,and expect national development
The advanced world are constantly busy in the labs researching day and night on how to make the world still a much better place to live in, of which Africans are benefiting immensely
Several Africans are wasting much time praying and fasting while waiting for the imaginary and delusional mana from heaven
And the misery of several Africans countinues
Stop this nonsense. God will not hear the prayers of thieves and their enablers. Where was CAN when the politicians were robbing Nigeria blind? Return all the monies stolen and given to you by the corrupt politicians and then pray for forgiveness from God.
