IGP Idris presents N40m to families of officers who died on duty

It was gathered that the Inspector General of Police, ‎Ibrahim Idris, has presented a cheque of over N40 million to 36 families of police officers who sustained permanent disability and those who died on active service in Bauchi.

While presenting the amount yesterday on behalf of the IG, Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 12 Bauchi State, Yakubu Jibrin, said the money was to relieve the hardship faced by the families of the dead officers.

“We don’t want to make life hard for the family of any police officer, especially those who died on active service,” he said.

  1. 40 million naira shared among 36 families of police men & women who lost their lives and those who sustained permanent disabilities. Is this to encourage or discourage. Nigeria which way to go!
