The Belgium international forward has failed to settle at Stamford Bridge and could quickly return to former club Marseille in order to seek regular football.
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi could be sent back to Marseille on loan in the January transfer window, Le 10 Sport reports.
The Belgium international forward has struggled for game time under Antonio Conte at the Blues, with the Italian manager having apparently not been behind the attacker’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.
And therefore Batshuayi could return to Stade Velodrome in the winter, having previously spent two successful years with OM.
Marseille have already shown a willingness to take players back, having re-signed Florian Thauvin on loan following a similarly failed spell at Newcastle, and were recently taken over by American Frank McCourt, who is expected to inject additional money into the team.
