Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger thinks Mesut Ozil has got the taste for goals after his hat trick against Ludogorets.
The German scored three as the Gunners ran away 6-0 winners against the Bulgarian side – with the other goals coming from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Ozil enters elite group of Arsenal legends (and Bendtner) with CL hat-trick
This continues Ozil’s fine form finding the back of the net this season, with the midfielder having now bagged six goals in ten matches for the north Londoners.
‘It looks like Ozil has the taste to score goals now,’ Wenger said after the Champions League clash.
‘Before he only like to come to the ball and provide, but we want him to be a provider and a scorer.
‘He’s slowly moving towards that better balance. I’m happy that he gets goals and I hope that gives him the taste to try more.’
Arsenal’s win over Ludogorets leaves them top of their Champions League group on seven points – ahead of PSG on goal difference.
The Gunners will be hoping that they can finish first and get an easier draw for the last 16, having fallen at that stage every campaign since the 2009-10 season.
