Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey looks set to make his long-awaited return from injury against Reading in the EFL Cup.
The Welshman’s been out of action since injuring his hamstring in the Gunners’ opening weekend defeat to Liverpool in August.
The 25-year-old had been expected to return within four weeks but suffered a number of setbacks.
Wenger said he would give the Welshman a full ‘pre-season’ in order to fully recover from his hamstring injury but Ramsey is in tonight’s squad to face Reading at the Emirates.
Wenger will make a late decision on whether Ramsey should start against the Royals or take a place on the bench.
The Frenchman’s already confirmed Olivier Giroud is in line to feature, while Carl Jenkinson could start in what would be his first senior appearance since January.
