According to reports, the #BringBackOurGirls BBOG) group has expressed worry over the recent spate of attacks by Boko Haram sect even as the military has assured that the war against the Boko Haram sect has been won.
Speaking during the group’s sit-out, yesterday, one of its members, Tsambido Hosea-Abana expressed sadness over the recent attack by Boko Haram in a village close to Chibok, Borno State.
It was reported that some Boko Haram members attacked Goptari, 10 kilometers from Chibok and looted food supplies and livestock meant for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Hosea- Abana, who is a native of Chibok, expressed his worry over what is happening and urged the federal government through the military to find out ways to deal with the insurgency, headon.
The group also lamented the report that 83 soldiers were missing following attack by the Boko Haram sect.
The report stated that soldiers were unable to fight back due to the fact that they were poorly equipped.
The army spokesperson, Col Sani Usman, last week said some soldiers were missing and 13 others wounded when the insurgents attacked their base in Gashigar village.
The group urged the government to investigate and unravel the truth behind the story and work towards equipping the military who had sacrificed their lives to protect the nation.
