Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) yesterday criticised the Ministers of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Labour, Chris Ngige and Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, over their stand against the actualisation of Biafra Republic.
The Biafra agitators said it was unfortunate that the three ministers who were supposed to be in forefront of the struggle were making it very difficult to realise the agenda.
Delta North zonal leader of the group, Mr. Chinedu Amaefieobu, flanked by the Zonal Commander of Security, Ignatius Agili-Ajama, said this in Asaba, the Delta state capital.
They noted that preparation was on top gear for the remembrance celebration of the late Odimegwu Ojukwu, adding that the aspirations of the warlord would be realised through Uwazuruike’s doggedness.
Amaefieobu said since November 26, 2011, when Ojukwu died, Uwazuruike had kept faith with the tenets of the struggle for the actualisation of Biafra by the keeping struggle alive.
He said: “We are calling on the United Nations (UN), France, Israel, China, Russia and world leaders to come to our aid, and force Nigerian security to stop killing our people in the name of one Nigeria because we are not in arms struggle with them.
“Since our representatives have failed us, we also urged the entire Igboland to rally support for his successor, His Excellency, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike – the Okenwa (true son of his father) and ignore Amaechi, Onu and Ngige who are not serving the Igboland, but the Nigerian government. They have forgotten the son of whom they are.
“We will swim and sink with Uwazuruike; we remember the prophesy of Uwazurike that that a time is coming, there will be hunger and thirst in the land (Nigeria), the economic situation will be out of control, there will root of bitterness but don’t be afraid, they are signs that Biafra’s actualisation is at hand and it is gradually coming to pass.”
